It’s critical for your health to keep your blood sugar levels in check. High blood sugar levels over an extended period of time can increase your risk of heart disease, renal damage, and stroke.
This panel measures your fasting glucose and HbA1c levels. It also includes a series of screenings that are commonly ordered at an annual health visit to help evaluate your overall health by measuring a variety of components such as cholesterol and lipids, calcium, electrolytes, and liver and kidney function.
If you’ve been diagnosed with diabetes before, you can use this screening to keep track of certain elements of your health under the supervision of your doctor.
