Test Overview:
TSH is used to distinguish between primary, secondary, and tertiary hypothyroidism. Also used for hyperthyroidism screening. This assay helps hypothyroid patients and those on suppressive thyroxine therapy for thyroid neoplasia to modify their exogenous thyroxine dosage.
